Dr. Steve Burns recieves the Frank Vessels Sr. Memorial Award

Dr. Steve Burns (photo above) was honored with the Frank Vessels Sr. Memorial Award in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to the sport of Quarter Horse racing. His Burns Ranch in Menifee, California has become one of the premier homes for stallions in the nation and it stands the likes of Walk Thru Fire, Separatist, Hawkinson, Foose, TR Dasher, Favorite Cartel, One Sweet Jess and Stel Corona. Dr. Burns also became a partner of the Los Alamitos Equine Sale in 2012. He received Breeder Special Recognition Awards in 2007 and 2011. Allred and Kash Vessels of Vessels Stallion Farm both presented the award to Dr. Burns.

“I am very excited for Dr. Burns to receive this award,” said Dr. Allred in his presentation speech of this award. “I believe Dr. Burns will one day be the leading Quarter Horse breeder in the nation.”
